Well, this has certainly been one of the easier Black Fridays I've had to deal with, but that doesn't mean it was a breeze. It wasn't nearly as busy on Friday as everyone had expected, but it was still pretty busy. Today wasn't too bad, either. Got tomorrow left then I'm off for a few days, which I will enjoy.
I still never got an answer from "she who shall not be named," so I guess that is my answer. It sucks, but I'm moving on already. There are a few possible prospects available to me, but I'm not gonna worry myself over it. I'm just gonna try to enjoy my time right now and keep my stress levels with the holidays low. I just hate being alone for the holidays - I usually am. My last girlfriend and I broke up right before Thanksgiving a few years back so that made it especially harder for me that year, and the holidays just reminds me even more about being single than before. Maybe one of these new girls will be worth chasing after and I'll get lucky.
One of them in particular... She looks like she could be my Ramona. It's kind of weird, I get those vibes from her. Sometimes she just looks at me and she honestly has that picture perfect look to her, the kind with the white glowing background, in a slow, crystallized moment. But if you tell a girl that, she just thinks you're crazy. haha There's no such thing as dream girls.. people just look at relationships as nothing more than that these days. No one looks across the room at a girl and says, "You see that girl. I'm gonna marry her someday." I kinda feel that way.. Instead people go, "You see that girl. I'm gonna bang her, probably." Maybe I'm crazy, but that's just how it feels - and yet it's guys who think like the latter that gets the girls and I get the dust cloud as they dash off together. lol Oh well... Guess we'll see what happens. Maybe this time around I'll catch a break for once..
On a positive note, I got most of my Christmas shopping finished already. I just need a few more little things here and there for some people but that's about it.. Was an easy peasy shopping experience this year. I really didn't have to do much, was more or less a matter of hoping to find what I needed after the wake of Black Friday. Only 27 more days of retail hell to go.

Dreading the holidays
As the days grow darker, colder, and closer towards the holidays, work has gotten busier. More hours are finally starting to flow in, and reality starts to set in. I'm probably gonna end up spending these holidays alone again, which sucks.. I get tired of spending them alone. Just once I'd like to have someone in my life to spend them with. Hopefully things will turn around, there's still a week left until Thanksgiving, then a few more weeks until Christmas. Maybe I'll get lucky... haha. Who am I kidding? Ah well.. I'll just make the best of it for now. No point in sulking over it, just gotta make the best of it. Maybe next year things will be different. :3
On a more positive, 8-bit note; I found some oldie classic cartoons that I enjoyed when I was a kid online, including The Legend of Zelda, Captain N, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Super Mario 3 animated series on Amazon.com. I may definitely consider picking these up with my Christmas money... I'm also definitely considering picking up a keyboard (the instrument, not the computer based kind) and learning how to play. I've always wanted one and wanted to learn piano, so I figure this would be a good start.

The waiting is the hardest part
I haven't done much at all today. There isn't much to do when work's got you down to 10 hours a week, even with the holiday hours coming in. It makes it pretty difficult to keep my mind on other things while waiting on a response that means a lot to me. In case you're wondering, yes, I'm still waiting on a response from the girl I've mention in the last few posts here. I sent her a message earlier this morning about the situation and waiting for her to read it, consider it, and give me a chance. Though rejection is something I'm quite familiar with, I'm really, really hoping I might catch a break with her... I like her a lot. I just want a chance to show her, and to make her happy. I've been sitting watching Scrubs all day to pass the time, which is nice because I haven't watched the show in quite some time. Let's just hope I don't end up watching the entire series before I get an answer. haha Just started season 3..

Waiting.
So last night didn't go exactly as planned. The balloon stand in the mall is only there on certain occasions when doing donations and stuff, so when I went to ask her out, I didn't have a small token for a romantic gesture for her. But I did manage to ask her out! She seemed a bit shocked and couldn't give me a straight answer, though.. But she said she would message me about it. She spoke to a friend of mine about it and said she didn't know how to take it, since the whole day was turning into a weird-fest, another event that took place prior to had her and a few other co-workers weirded out already, so it didn't make it easy on her to make a decision. Let's just hope she makes the wise one and says yes... I just need one chance to prove myself to her, and let her see that I'm a good guy worthy of her love and affection, and that I won't treat her like the other guys did. I have nothing but respect for women, and she needs to see this first hand.
I still have love written on my arm from yesterday's "To Write Love On Her Arms" event, I figured I would leave it on for good luck.. When I get an answer from her, I'll wash it off. Let's just hope the other heart in my body doesn't get washed away with the answer, too.

A day of reckoning.
A few more hours and the moment of truth will come. I have a plan of action ready to set in motion, and hopefully by the end of the night I will be either pleased as punch, or whatever the complete opposite of that is +10. My plan tonight is to go in, armed with a balloon flower to give as an "impromptu" conversation starter, claiming I wanted a zebra instead of a flower, assuming it would be something she would like, and give it to her as a gift. I figured that would sound plausible enough to be taken as a humorous romantic gesture, allowing her to be more open to the idea of joining me for a cup of coffee tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully all will go well~ :V

The beginning of something new? Or the end of something old?
As I eagerly await the coming of a new day, I feel anxious. A feeling in my chest that's long palpitated grows stronger as I near tomorrow. My wits feel both dulled and sharpened as the hours dwindle. My blood racing and burning in my veins like fire let's me know I feel both alive and scared. What could cause all this, you may ask... A girl. Short and simple - a girl. A girl whom I've worked with and liked for the last 2 years or longer. It has come to my attention a short while ago that she had become single, and for the last month or longer, I've contemplated how to approach her. I overheard a conversation she had with a friend of mine about how she is tired of the guys she dates, how she wants a good guy with a good heart who will treat her with the respect she deserves, and she does deserve it. I want to be that guy. I want to show her the hopeless romantic side of me, that chivalry is not dead - so long as I'm still alive, and that there are still good guys out in this world. I've always been the nice guy... maybe too nice. It's made it difficult for me to get a girlfriend because of it because every girl wants a bad guy to turn, they want a good looking guy with the pumped bodies and machismo that melts them into a puddle of effeminate goo on the floor... And then they mature and realize there are better guys out there for them, that will treat them the way they truly want to be treated, deep down, and then it's my turn to shine...
Well, tomorrow I'm gonna shine - and I'm gonna shine bright! I'm gonna show her I'm her Mr. Right! I'm gonna show her that I'm a good enough guy for her, that I'm what she's looking for, and that I'm everything she needs! I just hope what she really wants now is what she says she wants, and that she can see that in me. I guess only time will tell... By tomorrow evening, all the doubts that question my mind will be answered, and I will either begin a new journey of love, or have a tragic end befall a long awaited chance at happiness... Will this be the beginning of something new? Or the end of something old...?

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
So, today is the release of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World on Blu-ray and DVD. I've been longing for the day it came out, counting down the weeks and days. I've seen it in theatres twice and fell in love with it. It very quickly became my favorite movie of all time. It's the perfect mix of everything; comics, video games, love, comedy, action, all rolled into one. I grew up on video games, and was very familiar with a lot of the video game sounds and themes integrated into it, so obviously it was easy for me to fall in love with it. I also love the concept of having to fight for something you love so much, even if it seems irrational to others. I know there's been plenty of times I've gone after women I shouldn't have.. And I hope to one day find my own Ramona to fight for. Here's hoping~
Anywho, anyone who's seen Scott Pilgrim, go buy it today. Anyone who hasn't seen it, GO BUY IT NOW!! Or I'll have to K. O. you!! :3

Layout: Complete
Welp, the layout for my blog is complete. Got a nifty music player with some classic 8-bit music from some of my favorite old school games such as Zelda, Metroid, Castlevania and Mario, and some newer 8-bit music from the Scott Pilgrim video game. I'm sure you can see where the theme for my blog is going. haha
Anyway, enjoy it! More entries to come~
